The Elise SC combines our award-winning, iconic roadster with an advanced supercharged engine resulting in the pinnacle of the Elise range.

Supercharged engines have always been recognised for their effortless performance, and the heart of the Elise SC is no exception. The instant response and relentless acceleration provide supercar levels of performance, whilst the aluminium chassis ensures extraordinary agility.

A snarling 1.8 VVTL-i engine coupled with the characteristic whine of the supercharger ensure an exotic and melodic soundtrack. Aerodynamic improvements include a rear spoiler and unique alloy wheels compliment the dynamic design.

Engine

2ZZ-GE engine, Metal Matrix Composite (MMC) & aluminium lightweight and compact construction. Chain driven Double Over-Head Camshafts (DOHC) exploiting a Variable Valve Timing & Lift - intelligent (VVTL-i) system. Lotus T4e engine management system, multi-point sequential fuel injection, electronic ignition and electronic throttle control.

Emissions

Three-way catalytic converter. Euro IV emissions compliant with full On-Board Diagnostics (OBD).

Transmission

C64 manual transaxle, aluminium lightweight construction. 6-speed, close ratio, constant mesh helical gears and open differential.

Chassis

Lotus designed lightweight structure of epoxy bonded aluminium alloy extrusions with glass-fibre composite front section, extruded aluminium door beams, integral steel seat-belt support structure and lightweight galvanised steel rear subframe.

Steering

Solidly mounted mechanical rack and pinion steering box. 2.8 turns lock-to-lock.

Suspension

Fully independent suspension utilising unequal length wishbones. Bilstein mono-tube dampers with coaxial Eibach coil springs. Front anti-roll bar. Rear toe control link.
